Så var det då dags för det jag sett fram emot sedan jag fick reda på bokningen. Dinosaur Jr på KB! Med originalsättning! Med en fantastisk, ny platta i det så kallade bagaget! Peppen var monumental.Och, det är lika bra att säga det direkt, konserten överträffade till och med mina högt ställda förväntningar. De går på och börjar manglet med en gång. J Mascis ser ut som en häxa i sitt långa, silverfärgade hår. Lou Barlow ser ut som att han har gymmat rätt hårt och Murphs kala huvud reflekterar strålkastarljuset.
Till en början är det rätt murrigt då de river av några av de mer anonyma av de nya låtarna, men i fjärde numret infinner sig kvällens första extas när de exploderar i "The Wagon". Jag och F. vevar med nävarna som om vi var 17 och sjunger med i falsettsången: "You won't see me... you won't see me"!
J står nästan helt still hela tiden. Förutom armar och fingrar som går loss på gitarren, och han säger inte flaska. En gång i ett mellanspel närmar han sig mikrofonen och säger "Alrr..." och lyckas aldrig artikulera den andra stavelsen. Not a big talker. Lou står för kommunikationen. Han säger "hello" ungefär. Förutom när Murph försvinner efter ett tag (han återkommer snart tröjlös) då Lou tvingas improvisera några tafatta meningar som inte går att dechiffrera.
Det låter fantastiskt rakt igenom, och de nya låtarna funkar suveränt. Bäst är "Pieces", "I Don't Wanna Go There" och, såklart, "Over It". Publiken är hela tiden med på noterna och trallar med och höjer nävar och mobilkameror. Det är fullsatt och infernaliskt varmt och det blir inte bättre av att vi börjar hoppa som besatta när J drar introt till "Freak Scene". Kvällens riktiga klimax är när breaket i låten kommer och J börjar sjunga de första raderna för att sedan ta ett steg bakåt för att låta publiken skrika ut de avslutande raderna: "Sometimes I don't thrill you, sometimes I think I'll kill you. Just don't let me fuck up will You, 'cause when I need a friend it's still you". Som i den här livevideon ungefär.
Ah, det fortsätter och fortsätter. De spelar en fullkomligt knäckande "Feel the Pain" en lika magnifik "Get Me" (komplett med två feta, feta solon). När de går av scenen är jag helt genomsvett. Då är det dags för extranummer. Efter detta går de av för att återkomma en sista gång och göra en stenhård version av The Cures "Just Like Heaven".
De gav oss indierock. Som fan.

Helt ok konsert. Tur att jag hade hört de två senaste skivorna annars hade jag nog varit lite lost bland dom nya låtarna. Men jag tyckte att det var mest tryck på de gamla klassikerna. Det är väl de som folk förknippar med Dinosaur jr. Dock hade jag gärna hört Pick me up från Beyond. Men man kan ju inte får allt. Detta var en ungdomsdröm som gick i uppfyllelse. !!!!!!!!!! extas
